The Adventure of a Lifetime

After graduating SCAD in 2023, during the height of the recent industry strikes, many of my best industry contacts warned me that film work was scarce. Instead of allowing the situation to discourage me, I let it inspire the start of a new adventure. It felt like the perfect time to go out and chase a wild dream. Alongside my partner, Leanna, I embarked on a live aboard sailing adventure through The Bahamas.

After several months of planning, researching, hands-on learning, and preparing our boat, we set sail from Beaufort, South Carolina, down through the Bahamas and back, over the course of four months. Living on a boat is hard and constant work. Not only was I a sailor, but a captain, navigator, plumber, electrician, diesel mechanic, and repairman all at once. It was the most rewarding challenge of my life and has shaped me into a stronger, more capable version of myself.

I captured our adventures with my camera and am currently working on creating a travel documentary of our trip. We also documented our journey on social media and grew an audience of over 14,000 followers on TikTok.
